NOTHING MORE veröffentlichen “Freefall” feat. Chris Daughtry inkl. Musikvideo

NOTHING MORE sind gehören zweifellos zu den elektrisierendsten Bands der Gegenwart. Mit ihrem unverkennbaren Stil kombinieren sie kraftvolle Melodien und einzigartige Klanglandschaften in Songs, die unerschütterlich rohe Emotionen einfangen. Die dreifach Grammy-nominierte Band um Jonny Hawkins (Gesang), Mark Vollelunga (Gitarre), Daniel Oliver (Bass) und Ben Anderson (Schlagzeug) veröffentlicht heute die digitale Deluxe Edition ihres gefeierten Albums CARNAL aus dem Jahr 2024 über Better Noise Music. Die CD und Vinyl sind ab sofort vorbestellbar und erscheinen am 16. Mai 2025.

CARNAL (DELUXE) enthält fünf Bonustracks, darunter eine neue Version der mitreißenden neuen Single „FREEFALL“die zusammen mit dem 6-fach mit Platin ausgezeichneten Künstler Chris Daughtry entstanden ist. Das Video zu „FREEFALL“ erzählt auf bewegende Weise die Geschichte eines Feuerwehrmannes, der mit seiner psychischen Gesundheit zu kämpfen hat und durch die zufällige Begegnung mit einem obdachlosen Hund unerwartet eine neue Lebensrichtung findet. NOTHING MORE haben sich erneut mit Regisseur Stephen Wayne Mallet zusammengetan, der auch schon beim Video zum Song „Fade In, Fade Out“ vom 2017er Album THE STORIES WE TELL OURSELVESRegie führte.

“We wrote an anthem for the people who find themselves in an uncertain and chaotic phase of their life,” erklärt Sänger Jonny Hawkins über “FREEFALL.” “Every single one of us have had, or will have, experiences where it feels like the rug is pulled from under us… an end to a relationship, a job loss, or the death of a close family member. These times can be filled with anxiety, or they can be filled with spiritual euphoria as we accept our transformation. We’ve always believed that our losses are invitations to ascend to a higher level of reality…and this song is our way of encapsulating that realization. Chris Daughtry elevated that feeling with his soaring and pristine vocals. We are so honored to have him on one of the best songs we’ve ever written.”

Zur Veröffentlichung des Songs wird die Band auf ihrer offiziellen Website neue Merchandise-Artikel anbieten, deren Erlös der Organisation K9s For Warriors zugutekommt. Zusätzlich wird ein Spendenlink im Video enthalten sein, der es ermöglicht, direkt an die Website der Organisation zu spenden. K9s For Warriors ist in den USA der führende Anbieter von hochqualifizierten Diensthunden. Im Rahmen dessen arbeitet das Station Dog Programm von K9s mit Strafverfolgungsbehörden und Ersthelfern zusammen, um zuverlässige Therapiehunde zur Verfügung stellen zu können, die Polizisten, Feuerwehrleuten, Opfern und anderen Personen, die im Dienst ein Trauma erlitten haben, emotionale Unterstützung leisten zu können.

“Nothing More have always wanted our music and lyrics to be a shelter for those in need,” kommentiert Gitarrist Mark Vollelunga. “With ‘FREEFALL,’ we want to let people know they are not alone when it feels like everything is collapsing around you. So we did something really special; we teamed up with K9s For Warriors to bring more awareness to those that struggle with PTSD and mental health trauma. It’s their mission to train service dogs and pair them up with veterans and first responders in need. We fully believe in the power these animals have to help create peace and bring about healthy changes in their companions. I recently met my county constable, Kathryn Brown, who was given a service dog from K9s for Warriors and she shared with me just how much Biggie, makes her station and life unbelievably better. So let’s get more of these service dogs trained and paired up with veterans and first responders in need! I personally know that by rescuing animals, my family and life has been enriched tenfold. And I would say that even though we might think we’re the ones doing the rescuing… they are actually rescuing us.”

CARNAL brachte der Band zwei Nummer #1 Active Rock Radio Singles ein – „ANGEL SONG (feat. David Draiman)“ und „IF IT DOESN’T HURT“ – und hat bis heute über 100 Millionen Streams generiert. Das Album wurde als „eine der vielseitigsten Veröffentlichungen der Band bis heute“ (Blabbermouth) gelobt deren „energiegeladene Rockhymnen, das ansteckende Live-Können der Band einfangen“ (Knotfest).
Vier weitere Bonustracks auf CARNAL (DELUXE) beinhalten eine Live-Version des „ANGEL SONG“, aufgenommen beim Aftershock Festival 2024, bei dem NOTHING MORE auf der Bühne von Gastsänger David Draiman von Disturbed begleitet wurden; zwei Remixe von Matt Good (Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria) und Justin ‚JD‘ Deblieck (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White); sowie den neuen Song „WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE“.

NOTHING MORE haben das Publikum auf der ganzen Welt mit ihren energiegeladenen Live-Auftritten auf Tourneen mit Rockgrößen wie Godsmack, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin und Papa Roach überzeugt. Nachdem die Band im Frühjahr zusammen mit DISTURBED und Daughtry in US auf Tour geht kommen sie im Juni für Festival Auftritte nach Europa zurück. Hier spielen sie im deutschsprachigen Raum beim Rock Am Ring / Rock Im Parkund beim Nova Rock, sowie beim Sweden Rock, Download Festival und beim Graspop Metal Meeting.
